| 110 예수 그리스도를 ‘온 세상의 주님’이라고 부르는 이유는 무엇인가요?
세상 만물은 예수 그리스도를 통해 창조되었으므로, 세상과 역사의 주인은 바로 그분이십니다. 모든 인간은 그분에 의해 구원되었고, 그분의 심판을 받게 될 것입니다. 668-674, 680 예수 그리스도는 우리가 무릎 꿇어 경배드리는 유일한 분으로서 우리 위에 계십니다. 또한 그리스도는 당신 교회의 머리로서 우리 곁에 계십니다. 하느님 나라는 교회 안에서 이미 시작되었습니다. 예수 그리스도는 역사의 주인으로서 우리를 앞서가시고, 어둠의 권세는 결국 그분에게 굴복했으며, 세상의 운명은 하느님의 계획에 따라 그분을 통해 성취되고 있습니다. 그분은 세상을 새롭게 하고 완성하기 위해 우리가 알지 못하는 날에 영광스럽게 우리에게 오실 것입니다. 우리는 무엇보다 하느님의 말씀과 여러 성사들을 통하거나 가난한 이들을 돌볼 때, 또한 “두 사람이나 세 사람이라도 내(예수님) 이름으로 모인 곳”(마태 18,20)에서 그분이 가까이 계심을 느낍니다. 110 Why is Jesus Christ the Lord of the whole world? Jesus Christ is Lord of the world and Lord of history because everything was made for his sake. All men were redeemed by him and will be judged by him. 668-674, 680 He is over us, and the only One to whom we bend the knee in worship he is with us as Head of his Church, in which the kingdom of God begins even now he is ahead of us as Lord of history, in whom the powers of darkness are definitively overcome and the destinies of the world are brought to perfection according to God’s plan he comes to meet us in glory, on a day we do not know, to renew and perfect the world. We can experience his nearness especially in God’s Word, in the reception of the → SACRAMENTS, in caring for the poor, and wherever “two or three are gathered in my name” (see Mt 18:20). 111 세상 종말에는 어떤 일이 일어나나요? 세상이 끝나는 날에는 그리스도가 오시며, 모든 이들이 그분을 눈으로 보게 될 것입니다. 675-677 성경에 예고된 극적이고 놀라운 일들과(루카 18,8 마태 24,3 참조), 있는 그대로 드러나게 될 악의 그리고 많은 이들의 믿음을 시험하게 될 환난과 박해는, 세상 종말의 어두운 측면일 뿐입니다. 우리는 그때에 악을 물리치신 하느님의 최종적인 승리를 눈으로 보게 될 것이며, 하느님의 영광과 그분의 진리, 그분의 정의가 빛을 발하며 나타날 것입니다. 그리스도가 오심으로써 “새 하늘과 새 땅”이 열릴 것입니다. 하느님께서 친히 그들의 눈에서 모든 눈물을 닦아 주실 것입니다. 다시는 죽음이 없고 다시는 슬픔도 울부짖음도 괴로움도 없을 것입니다. 이전 것들이 사라져 버렸기 때문입니다. 111 What will it be like when the world comes to an end? When the world comes to an end, Christ comes?for all to see. 675-677 The dramatic upheavals (Lk 18:8 Mt 24:3-14) that are foretold in Sacred Scripture?the wickedness that will be plainly manifest, the trials and persecutions that will put the faith of many to the test?these are only the dark side of the new reality: God’s definitive victory over evil will be visible. God’s glory, truth, and justice will stand out brilliantly. With Christ’s coming there will be “a new heaven and a new earth”. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away” (Rev 21:4). |
