| 114 예수님의 삶에서 성령은 어떠한 역할을 하셨나요?
성령의 도움이 없다면 예수님을 올바로 이해할 수 없습니다. 그 어느 곳보다도 예수님의 삶에서 우리가 ‘성령’이라 부르는 하느님 영의 현존이 드러났습니다. 689-691, 702-731 동정 마리아의 몸에 예수님을 잉태시키고(마태 1,18 참조), 그분을 사랑받는 아드님이라고 증언하며(루카 4,16-19 참조), 그분을 이끌고(마르 1,12 참조), 죽을 때까지 그분을 움직이게 했던(요한 19,30 참조) 존재는 바로 성령이셨습니다. 십자가 위에서 예수님은 영을 내쉬었고, 부활하신 이후 예수님은 당신 제자들에게 성령을 불어넣으셨습니다(요한 20,22 참조). 그로써 예수님의 영은 그분의 교회로 전달되었습니다. “아버지께서 나를 보내신 것처럼 나도 너희를 보낸다.”(요한 20,21) 114 What role does the Holy Spirit play in the life of Jesus? Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot understand Jesus. In his life the presence of God’s Spirit, whom we call the Holy Spirit, was manifest in a unique way. 689-691, 702-731 It was the Holy Spirit who called Jesus to life in the womb of the Virgin Mary (Mt 1:18), endorsed him as God’s beloved Son (Lk 4:16-19), guided him (Mk 1:12) and enlivened him to the end (Jn 19:30). On the Cross, Jesus breathed out his Spirit. After his Resurrection, he bestowed the Holy Spirit on his disciples (Jn 20:22). At that the Spirit of Jesus went over to his Church: “As the Father has sent me, even so I send you” (Jn 20:21). 115 성령은 어떤 이름과 표징을 통해 모습을 드러내시나요? 성령은 비둘기의 형상으로 예수님에게 내려오셨습니다. 초대 교회의 신자들은 성령을 묘사할 때, 상처를 낫게 하는 연고나 살아 있는 물, 휘몰아치는 폭풍, 타오르는 불꽃에 비유했습니다. 예수님은 성령을 보호자요, 위로자, 교사, 진리의 영이라고 부르셨습니다. 교회가 베푸는 성사에서 신자들은 안수와 도유(기름 부음)를 통해 성령을 받게 됩니다. 691-693 하느님이 대홍수 이후 인간과 맺으신 평화는 비둘기의 출현을 통해 노아에게 예고되었습니다. 고대의 다른 종교들도 비둘기를 사랑의 표상으로 여겼습니다. 따라서 초대 그리스도교 신자들은 예수님이 요르단 강에서 세례를 받으실 때 위격을 취하신 성령이 왜 비둘기의 형상으로 그분에게 내려오셨는지 금세 이해했습니다. 오늘날에도 비둘기는 전 세계적으로 평화의 상징으로 여겨지며, 인간과 하느님의 화해를 뜻하는 대표적인 상징들 가운데 하나입니다(창세 8,10-11 참조). 115 Under what names and signs does the Holy Spirit appear? The Holy Spirit descends upon Jesus in the form of a dove. The first Christians experience the Holy Spirit as a healing ointment, living water, a raging storm, or a flaming fire. Jesus Christ himself speaks about the Counselor, Comforter, Teacher, and Spirit of Truth. In the sacraments of the Church, the Holy Spirit is bestowed through the imposition of hands and anointing with oil. 691-693 The peace that God established in his covenant with mankind after the flood was indicated to Noah through the appearance of a dove. Pagan antiquity, too, considered the dove to be a symbol of love. And so the early Christians understood immediately why the Holy Spirit, the love of God in person, came down in the form of a dove when Jesus allowed himself to be baptized in the Jordan. Today the dove is recognized worldwide as the sign of peace and as one of the great symbols for the reconciliation of man with God (cf. Gen 8:10-11). |
