| 471 아브라함이 기도의 모범이 되는 이유는 무엇인가요?
아브라함은 하느님의 말씀을 따랐습니다. 그는 하느님이 원하시는 곳을 향해 길을 떠났고, 하느님이 원하시는 일을 했습니다. 아브라함이 하느님의 말씀을 열심히 듣고 새롭게 시작하는 용기가 있었기에, 그는 기도의 모범이 됩니다. 아브라함에게서 전해 내려오는 기도는 많지 않습니다. 하지만 그는 가는 곳마다 하느님을 위해 제단을 세우고 기도할 공간을 마련했습니다. 이처럼 그는 일생 하느님을 다양하게 체험했는데, 그중에는 그를 시험하고 불안하게 만든 체험도 있었습니다. 하느님이 죄 많은 도시 소돔을 없애려 하셨을 때, 아브라함은 그 도시를 위해 나섰고 심지어 하느님에게 끈질기게 맞서기도 했습니다. 소돔에 대한 그의 옹호는 하느님의 백성이 드린 역사상 최초의 대청원 기도라 할 수 있습니다. 471 Why is Abraham a model of prayer? Abraham listened to God. He was willing to set out for wherever God commanded and to do what God willed. By his listening and his readiness to make a new start, he is a model for our prayer. Not many prayers of Abraham have been handed down. But wherever he went, he set up altars, places of prayer, to God. And so along the journey of his life he had many sorts of experiences with God, including some that tried and unsettled him. When Abraham saw that God was going to destroy the sinful city of Sodom, he pleaded for it. He even wrestled stubbornly with God. His plea for Sodom is the first great intercessory prayer in the history of the People of God. 472 모세는 어떻게 기도했나요? 우리는 ‘기도’가 ‘하느님과 나누는 대화’임을 모세에게서 배웁니다. 불타는 떨기나무 속에서 하느님은 모세와 본격적인 대화를 나누셨고 그에게 사명을 주셨습니다. 모세는 이의를 제기하고 질문을 드렸으며, 마침내 하느님은 그에게 당신의 거룩한 이름을 계시하셨습니다. 당시에 모세가 하느님에게 신뢰를 표현하고 전적으로 하느님의 도구가 된 것처럼, 우리도 그렇게 기도함으로써 하느님의 학교에 들어가야 합니다. 2574-2577 성경에 모세의 이름이 767번이나 언급되는 만큼, 그는 이스라엘 백성의 해방자이자 율법 제정자로서 중요한 인물입니다. 또한 모세는 자기 백성을 위한 위대한 변호인이기도 했습니다. 그는 기도하는 가운데 자신의 사명을 받았고, 기도에서 힘을 얻었습니다. “주님께서는 마치 사람이 자기 친구에게 말하듯, 모세와 얼굴을 마주하여 말씀하시곤 하였다.”(탈출 33,11)라는 성경 말씀처럼 모세는 하느님과 긴밀하고 사적인 관계를 맺고 있었습니다. 모세는 행동하거나 백성을 가르치기에 앞서 기도를 드리러 산으로 올라가곤 했습니다. 이처럼 모세는 관상 기도를 하는 사람들의 모범이 되기도 합니다. 472 How did Moses pray? From Moses we learn that “praying” means “speaking with God”. At the burning bush God entered into a real conversation with Moses and gave him an assignment. Moses raised objections and asked questions. Finally God revealed to him his holy name. Just as Moses then came to trust God and enlisted wholeheartedly in his service, so we too should pray and thus go to God’s school. 2574-2577 The →BIBLE mentions Moses’ name times?so central is he as the liberator and lawgiver of the people of Israel. At the same time Moses was also a great intercessor for his people. In prayer he received his commission from prayer he drew his strength. Moses had an intimate, personal relationship with God: “The Lord used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend” (Ex 33:11a). Before Moses acted or instructed the people, he withdrew to the mountain to pray. Thus he is the original example of contemplative prayer. 473 그리스도인의 기도에서 시편은 어떤 의미를 지니나요? 시편은 ‘주님의 기도’와 더불어 교회의 가장 소중한 기도 유산 중 하나입니다. 교회에서는 시편을 통해 하느님에 대한 찬미가 영원히 이어지고 있습니다. 구약 성경의 시편에는 150편의 시가 있습니다. 시편은 오래된 노래와 기도의 모음으로, 수천 년 동안 전해 내려온 내용 가운데 일부는 오늘날에도 교회 공동체 안에서 시간 전례를 통해 바쳐집니다. 시편은 세계 문학의 가장 훌륭한 원전 가운데 하나며, 그것의 영적인 힘을 통해 현대인들에게도 큰 감동을 선사합니다. 473 How are the Psalms important for our prayer? The Psalms, along with the Our Father, are part of the Church’s great treasury of prayers. In them the praise of God is sung in an ageless way. There are 150 Psalms in the →OLD TESTAMENT. They are a collection of songs and prayers, some of them several thousand years old, which are still prayed today in the Church community?in the so-called Liturgy of the Hours. The Psalms are among the most beautiful texts in world literature and move even modern readers immediately by their spiritual power. 474 예수님은 기도를 어떻게 배우셨나요? 예수님은 기도를 가정과 회당에서 배우셨습니다. 그러나 예수님은 전통적인 기도의 한계를 극복하셨습니다. 그분의 기도에서 오로지 ‘하느님의 아드님’만이 가질 수 있는 하늘에 계신 아버지와의 관계가 드러납니다. 2598-2599 하느님이시며 인간이셨던 예수님은 당시의 여느 유다인 아이처럼 이스라엘 민족의 의례와 기도 방식에 익숙해지셨습니다. 그러나 예수님이 열두 살 때 성전에서 겪으신 일(루카 2,41-52 참조)에서 드러나듯이, 그분 안에는 배워서 습득할 수 없는 무언가가 있었습니다. 곧 하늘에 계신 아버지 하느님과의 근원적이고 심오하며 유일무이한 관계가 있었습니다. 예수님은 다른 모든 사람과 마찬가지로 다른 세상을 바라셨고, 하느님께 기도하셨습니다. 그러나 동시에 그분은 그 다른 세상의 한 부분이기도 하셨습니다. 이후 사람들이 예수님께 기도하고 그분을 하느님으로 받아들이며 그분의 은총을 청하게 되는데, 그러한 모습들이 이미 그때부터 드러나고 있었습니다. 474 How did Jesus learn to pray? Jesus learned to pray in his family and in the synagogue. Yet Jesus broke through the boundaries of traditional prayer. His prayer demonstrates a with his Father in heaven that is possible only to someone who is the Son of God. 2598-2599 Jesus, who was God and man at the same time, grew up like other Jewish children of his time amid the rituals and prayer formulas of his people, Israel. Nevertheless, as the story of the twelve-year-old Jesus in the Temple demonstrated (Lk 2:41ff.), there was something in him that could not be learned: an original, profound, and unique with God, his Father in heaven. Like all other men, Jesus hoped for another world, a hereafter, and prayed to God. At the same time, though, he was also part of that hereafter. This occasion already showed that one day people would pray to Jesus, acknowledge him as God, and ask for his grace. |
