| 487 우리가 다른 사람들을 위해 전구를 바쳐야 하는 이유는 무엇인가요?
아브라함이 소돔 주민을 위해 전구하고 예수님이 당신 제자들을 위해 기도하셨듯이, 또한 초대 교회 공동체가 ‘자신의 안녕뿐만 아니라 다른 이들의 안녕에도’(필리 2,4 참조) 관심을 기울였듯이, 그리스도인들은 언제나 모든 이들을 위해 기도해야 합니다. 자신에게 소중한 이들뿐만 아니라 자신과 아무런 관계가 없는 이들을 위해서도 기도하고, 심지어 자신의 원수들을 위해서도 기도해야 합니다. 2634-2636, 2647 기도하는 법을 많이 배울수록, 우리는 영적인 공동체에 속해 있으며 그 공동체를 통해 기도의 힘이 발휘됨을 깊이 깨닫게 됩니다. 우리는 사랑하는 사람들을 염려하는 가운데 인류 공동체의 일원으로 살고 있으며, 다른 이들의 기도에서 힘을 얻고 하느님의 도움이 다른 이들에게 내리기를 빌 수 있습니다. 487 Why should we petition God for other people? As Abraham intervened by his prayer for the inhabitants of Sodom, as Jesus prayed for his disciples, and as the early Christian community looked “not only to their own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Phil 2:4), so too Christians always pray for everyone?for people who are dear to their hearts, for people who are not close to them, and even for their enemies. 2634-2636, 2647 The more a person learns to pray, the more profoundly he realizes that he has ties to a spiritual family through which the power of prayer is made effective. With all my concern for the people whom I love, I stand in the midst of the family of mankind and may receive strength from the prayers of others and may call down divine assistance for others. 488 우리가 하느님께 감사드려야 하는 이유는 무엇인가요? 우리 존재와 우리가 소유한 모든 것은 하느님에게서 왔습니다. 바오로 사도는 “그대가 가진 것 가운데에서 받지 않은 것이 어디 있습니까?”(1코린 4,7)라고 말합니다. 좋은 것 모두를 주시는 하느님에게 감사드림으로써 우리는 행복해집니다. 2637-2638, 2648 가장 뛰어난 감사 기도는 예수님이 세우신 성체성사(성체성사를 뜻하는 Eucharist는 ‘감사’라는 뜻의 그리스어 ‘에우카리스티아ε?χαριστ?α’에서 유래)로, 그분은 성체성사 안에서 피조물 전체를 변화시켜 하느님에게 바치기 위해 빵과 포도주를 이용하십니다. 그리스도인들이 바치는 모든 감사 기도는 예수님이 이 뛰어난 감사 기도와 하나가 됩니다. 우리도 예수님을 통해 변화되고 구원받기 때문입니다. 그런 까닭에 우리는 마음속 깊이 하느님에게 감사드리고, 그 마음을 여러 방식으로 하느님에게 전할 수 있습니다. 488 Why should we thank God? Everything that we are and have comes from God. Paul says, “What have you that you did not receive?” (1 Cor 4:7). Being grateful to God, the giver of all good things, makes you happy. 2637-2638, 2648 The greatest prayer of thanks is the “→EUCHARIST” (“thanksgiving” in Greek) of Jesus, in which he takes bread and wine so as to offer in them to God all of creation, transformed. Whenever Christians give thanks, they are joining in Jesus’ great prayer of thanksgiving. For we, too, are transformed and redeemed by Jesus, and so from the depths of our hearts we can be grateful and tell God this in a variety of ways. 489 하느님을 찬양한다는 것은 무엇을 뜻하나요? 하느님은 우리의 박수갈채가 필요하지 않으십니다. 하지만 우리는 하느님에 대한 기쁨과 마음속에 간직한 환호를 자발적으로 표현할 필요가 있습니다. 하느님이 존재하시고 또한 그분은 좋은 분이시기에 우리는 그분을 찬양합니다. 찬양 기도를 통해 우리는 이제 하늘에 있는 천사들과 성인들이 올리는 영원한 찬양에 동참하게 됩니다. 2639-2642 489 What does it mean to praise God? God needs no applause. But we need to express spontaneously our delight in God and the rejoicing in our hearts. We praise God because he exists and because he is good.
