| 495 우리 기도가 하느님에게 이르리라 확신할 수 있나요?
우리가 예수님의 이름으로 바치는 기도는 예수님의 기도가 이르렀던 곳, 곧 하늘에 계신 아버지의 마음에 도달하게 됩니다. 2664-2669, 2680-2681 예수님을 신뢰하듯이, 우리는 이 사실도 확신할 수 있습니다. 죄로 인해 우리에게 닫혀 있던 하늘나라로 가는 길을 예수님이 다시 열어 주셨기 때문입니다. 예수님은 하느님에게 가는 길이시기 때문에, 그리스도인들은 “우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 비나이다.”라는 말로 기도를 끝맺습니다. 495 Can we be sure that our prayers are heard? Our prayers, which we offer in Jesus’ name, go to the place where Jesus’ prayers also went: to the heart of our heavenly Father. 2664-2669, 2680-2681 We can be sure of this if we trust Jesus. For Jesus has opened again for us the way to heaven, which had been barred by sin. Since Jesus is the way to God, Christians conclude their prayers with the phrase, “we ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” 496 기도할 때 성령이 필요한 이유는 무엇인가요? 성경에는 “우리는 올바른 방식으로 기도할 줄 모르지만, 성령께서 몸소 말로 다 할 수 없이 탄식하시며 우리를 대신하여 간구해 주십니다.”(로마 8,26)라고 써있습니다. 하느님에게 기도드리는 것은 오로지 하느님을 통해서만 가능합니다. 우리 기도가 실제로 하느님에게 이르는 것은 우리의 능력 때문이 아닙니다. 우리 그리스도인들은 성부와 하나 되기를 간절히 바라는 예수님의 영을 받았습니다. 다시 말해 성부와 항상 사랑을 나누며 서로의 말을 주의 깊게 듣고 이해하며, 상대방이 원하는 바를 마음을 다해 원하시는 예수님의 영을 받았습니다. 그러한 예수님의 성령은 우리 안에 계시며, 우리가 기도할 때 우리 안에서 말씀하십니다. 기도한다는 것은 내 마음 깊은 곳에서 하느님이 하느님에게 이야기하는 것을 의미합니다. 성령은 우리가 기도하도록 도우십니다. 그런 까닭에 우리는 끊임없이 “오소서, 성령이여! 오셔서 제가 기도하도록 도우소서!”라고 청해야 합니다. 496 Why do we need the Holy Spirit when we pray? The →BIBLE says, “We do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words” (Rom 8:26). Praying to God is possible only with God. It is not primarily our accomplishment that our prayer actually reaches God. We Christians have received the Spirit of Jesus, who wholeheartedly yearned to be one with the Father: to be loving at all times, to listen to each other with complete attention, to understand each other thoroughly, to want wholeheartedly what the other person wants. This holy Spirit of Jesus is in us, and he is speaking through us when we pray. Basically prayer means that from the depths of my heart, God speaks to God. The Holy Spirit helps our spirit to pray. Hence we should say again and again, “Come, Holy Spirit, come and help me to pray.” 497 성인들을 따라 기도하는 것이 유익한 이유는 무엇인가요? 성인들은 성령으로 불타오른 분들이며, 하느님의 불꽃이 교회 안에 지속적으로 피어 있게 합니다. 성인들은 이미 현세에 사는 동안 열심히 기도했으며 다른 이들도 기도하도록 이끌었습니다. 성인들과 친밀한 관계에 있으면 기도하는 것이 쉽습니다. 우리는 성인들을 흠숭할 수 없지만, 우리의 기도가 하느님의 옥좌에 이르도록 하늘나라에 있는 성인들에게 도움을 청할 수는 있습니다. 2683-2684 위대한 성인들의 신앙심을 본받고자 하는 특정한 영성 유파들이 생겨났는데, 그들은 마치 스펙트럼에 비친 색깔들처럼 하느님의 순수한 빛을 드러냅니다. 그들 모두는 신앙을 이루는 한 가지 요소에서 출발하지만, 각기 다른 방법을 통해 하느님에 대한 믿음과 헌신의 가운데로 나아갑니다. 예를 들면, 프란치스코 영성은 영혼의 가난함에서 출발하고, 베네딕토 영성은 하느님을 찬양하는 일에서, 이냐시오 영성은 식별과 부르심에서 출발합니다. 사람들은 각자의 개성에 따라 각기 다른 영성에 매력을 느끼는데, 이러한 영성은 언제나 우리에게 기도를 가르치는 학교가 됩니다. 497 Why does it help to turn to the saints when we pray? Saints are people who are aflame with the Holy Spirit they keep God’s fire burning in the Church. Even during their earthly life, the saints prayed ardently, in a way that was contagious. When we are close to them, it is easy to pray. Of course, we never worship saints we are allowed, though, to call on them in heaven, so that they may present petitions for us at the throne of God. 2683-2684 Around the great saints developed particular schools of →SPIRITUALITY, which like the colors of the spectrum all point to the pure light of God. They all start with a fundamental element of the faith, so as to lead?in each case by a different gate?to the center of the faith and devotion to God. Thus Franciscan spirituality starts with poverty of spirit, Benedictine spirituality with the praise of God, and Ignatian spirituality with discernment and vocation. A spirituality to which someone feels attracted, depending on his personal character, is always a school of prayer. 498 우리는 어디에서나 기도할 수 있나요? 그렇습니다. 우리는 어디에서나 기도할 수 있습니다. 그렇지만 가톨릭 신자는 하느님이 특별한 방식으로 ‘거처하시는’ 곳들을 찾아갑니다. 무엇보다도 우리 주님이 빵의 형상으로 감실 안에 현존하고 계신 가톨릭교회의 성당들을 찾아갑니다. 2691, 2696 학교나 지하철에서, 파티를 즐길 때나 친구들과 어울릴 때 등 우리가 어디서나 기도할 수 있다는 사실은 매우 중요합니다. 온 세상은 축복으로 가득 차야 하기 때문입니다. 그러나 하느님이 특정한 방식으로 계신 거룩한 장소들을 찾아 그분 곁에서 쉬고, 그분에게서 기운을 얻으며, 내적으로 은총이 충만해져서 새롭게 파견되는 일도 똑같이 중요합니다. 참된 그리스도인이라면 유적지의 성당을 방문할 때도 그저 관광만 하지는 않습니다. 잠시 침묵 안에 머물면서 하느님을 흠숭하고 그분과의 친교와 사랑을 새롭게 합니다. 498 Can you pray anywhere? Yes, you can pray anywhere. Nevertheless a Catholic will always look also for those places where God “dwells” in a special way. Above all these are Catholic churches, where our Lord is present in the →TABERNACLE under the appearance of bread. 2691, 2696 It is very important for us to pray everywhere: in school, on the subway, during a party, in the midst of our friends. The whole world has to be drenched with →BLESSINGS. But it is also important for us to visit sacred places, where God waits for us, so to speak, so that we can rest in his presence, be strengthened, replenished, and sent forth by him. A genuine Christian is never just sightseeing when he visits a church. He lingers a moment in silence, adores God, and renews his friendship and love for him. |
