기도하는 방법 499 우리는 언제 기도해야 하나요? 초대 교회 때부터 그리스도교 신자들은 적어도 아침과 저녁 그리고 식사 때마다 기도해 왔습니다. 규칙적으로 기도하지 않는 사람은 어느새 기도를 하지 않게 됩니다. 2697-2698, 2720 다른 사람을 사랑하면서도 하루 종일 그에게 사랑을 표시하지 않는 사람은 그를 진정으로 사랑하는 것이 아닙니다. 하느님과의 관계도 이와 마찬가지입니다. 하느님을 진실로 찾는 사람은 그분에게 친밀함과 친교를 원하는 눈짓을 끊임없이 보낼 것입니다. 아침에 일어날 때마다 하느님에게 하루를 봉헌하고, 그분의 축복을 빌며, 그날의 모든 만남과 어려움 속에 그분이 함께하시기를 청하십시오. 그분에게 감사를 드리되, 특히 식사 때마다 그렇게 하십시오. 하루가 저물 때 모든 것을 그분 손에 맡기고 그분에게 용서를 빌며 자신과 다른 이들을 위해 평화를 청하십시오. 그러면 하느님 마음에 드는 생명의 표징들로 가득 찬 멋진 날이 됩니다. CHAPTER THREE The Way of Prayer 499 When should a person pray? From the earliest times Christians have prayed at least in the morning, at meals, and in the evening. Someone who does not pray regularly will soon not pray at all. 2697-2698, 2720 Anyone who loves another person and all day long never gives that person a sign of his love does not really love him. So it is with God, too. Anyone who truly seeks him will keep sending him signals of his longing for his company and friendship. Get up in the morning and give the day to God, asking for his →BLESSING and to “be there” in all your meetings and needs. Thank him, especially at mealtimes. At the end of the day, place everything into his hands, ask him for forgiveness, and pray for peace for yourself and others. A great day?full of signs of life that reach God. 500 기도 방법에는 어떤 것들이 있나요? 기도에는 세 가지 방법이 있습니다. 곧 ‘소리 기도(염경 기도)’와 ‘묵상 기도’, ‘관상 기도(내적 기도)’로 구분합니다. 이 세 가지 기도는 모두 마음의 집중을 전제로 합니다. 2699, 2721 500 Are there various ways to pray? Yes, there is vocal prayer, meditation, and contemplative prayer. All three ways of prayer presuppose recollecting one’s mind and heart. 2699, 2721 501 ‘소리 기도’란 무엇인가요? 기도한다는 것은 우선 우리 마음을 하느님에게 들어 올리는 것을 뜻합니다. 그렇지만 예수님은 말로써 하는 기도도 가르쳐 주셨습니다. 그분은 우리가 어떻게 기도해야 하는지를 알려 주시려고, 완벽한 소리 기도인 ‘주님의 기도’를 남겨 주셨습니다. 2700-2704, 2722 우리는 기도할 때 거룩한 것만 생각해서는 안 됩니다. 오히려 우리의 관심사를 하느님에게 말씀드리며 불평하기도 하고, 청원과 찬양, 감사도 드려야 합니다. 성경의 시편과 찬미가, 주님의 기도, 성모송과 같은 훌륭한 소리 기도들은, 종종 기도의 참된 내용을 우리에게 알려 주고 자유로운 내적 기도로 우리를 이끕니다. 501 What is vocal prayer? In the first place, prayer is lifting the heart to God. And yet Jesus himself taught his disciples to pray with words. With the Our Father he left us the perfect vocal prayer as his testament to show how we should pray. 2700-2704, 2722 While praying we should not try to think pious thoughts. We should express what is in our hearts and offer it to God as complaint, petition, praise, and thanks. Often it is the great vocal prayers?the Psalms and hymns of Sacred Scripture, the Our Father, the Hail Mary?that direct us to the true substance of prayer and lead to a kind of free, interior prayer. 502 ‘묵상 기도’의 본질은 무엇인가요? 묵상 기도의 본질은 성경 구절이나 성화에 담긴 의미를 기도하는 가운데 찾으며, 그로써 하느님의 뜻과 표징 그리고 그분의 현존을 탐색하는 데 있습니다. 2705-2708 우리는 그저 신문 기사를 읽듯이 성령을 읽거나 성화를 봐서는 안 됩니다. 우리는 그것들을 주의 깊게 들여다봐야 합니다. 다시 말해 우리는 우리 마음을 하느님에게 들어 올리고, 성경과 성화에 담긴 하느님의 뜻을 받아들일 준비가 되어 있다고 그분에게 말씀드려야 합니다. 성경 이외에도 우리를 하느님에게 이끌어 주고 묵상하기에 적합한 글은 많이 있습니다. 502 What is the essence of meditation? The essence of meditation is a prayerful seeking that starts with a sacred text or a sacred image and explores the will, the signs, and the presence of God. 2705-2708 We cannot “read” sacred images and texts the way we read things in the newspaper that do not immediately concern us. Instead, we should meditate on them in other words I should lift my heart to God and tell him that I am now quite open to what God wants to say to me through what I have read or seen. Besides Sacred Scripture, there are many texts that lead to God and are suitable for meditative prayer. 503 ‘관상 기도’란 무엇인가요? 관상 기도는 하느님 앞에서 사랑하는 마음으로 침묵하고 경청하며 현존하는 것입니다. 2709-2719, 2724 관상 기도에는 시간과 결연함 그리고 무엇보다 순수한 마음이 필요합니다. 관상 기도는, 모든 가면을 벗어 던지고 사랑을 믿으며 마음을 다해 하느님을 찾는 피조물의 가난하고 겸손한 헌신이라 할 수 있습니다. 관상 기도는 ‘마음의 기도’ 또는 ‘내적 기도’라고도 불립니다. 503 What is interior or “contemplative” prayer? Contemplative prayer is love, silence, listening, and being in the presence of God. 2709-2719, 2724 For interior prayer one needs time, resolve, and above all a pure heart. It is the humble, poor devotion of a creature that drops all masks, believes in love, and seeks God from the heart. Interior prayer is often called the prayer of the heart and →CONTEMPLATION. |
