| 516 친부모에게 학대를 받았거나 버림받은 경험이 있는 사람은 하느님을 어떻게 ‘아버지’라고 부를 수 있나요?
친부모에 대한 부정적인 경험이 종종 자애로운 아버지라는 하느님의 표상을 흐려 놓기도 합니다. 그러나 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지는 우리의 친부모와는 다른 분이십니다. 무조건적인 신뢰 속에서 하느님을 만날 수 있으려면 하느님에 대한 우리의 표상에서 기존 관념들을 지워 나가야 합니다. 2779 친아버지에게 성폭행을 당한 사람일지라도 ‘주님의 기도’를 배울 수 있습니다. 우리는 때때로 삶에서 다른 사람에게 잔이하게 거부되거나 상처를 받기도 합니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 인간의 모든 관념을 뛰어 넘어 놀라운 방식으로 현존하는 하느님의 사랑에 빠지는 일은 우리에게 평생의 과업이 되기도 합니다. 516 How can people say “Father” to God if they have been tormented or abandoned by their earthly father their earthly parents? Human fathers and mothers often distort the image of a kind, fatherly God. Our Father in heaven, however, is not the same as our experiences of human parents. We must purify our image of God from all our own ideas so as to be able to encounter him with unconditional trust. 2779 Even individuals who have been raped by their own father can learn to pray the Our Father. Often it is their task in life to allow themselves to experience a love that was cruelly refused them by others but that nevertheless exists in a marvelous way, beyond all human imagining. 517 우리는 ‘주님의 기도’를 통해서 어떻게 변화되나요? ‘주님의 기도’는 우리가 같은 아버지의 자녀라는 충만한 기쁨을 깨닫게 합니다. 우리의 공통된 소명은, “한 마음 한 뜻이 되어”(사도 4,32) 우리 아버지를 찬양하고 서로 사랑하는 일입니다. 2787-2791, 2801 아버지이신 하느님은 마치 우리가 당신의 사랑을 받는 유일한 존재인 것처럼 당신 자녀들 모두에게 한결같이 끝없는 사랑을 주십니다. 따라서 우리도 완전히 새로운 방식으로, 다시 말해 평화와 존중과 사랑이 가득 찬 마음으로 서로를 대해야 합니다. 그럼으로써 우리는 누구에게나 환호를 불러일으키는 놀라운 존재가 될 수 있어야 합니다. 하느님이 보시기에 우리 모두는 실제로 그런 존재입니다. 517 How are we changed by the Our Father? The Our Father allows us to discover joyfully that we are children of one Father. Our common vocation is to praise our Father and to live together as though “of one heart and soul” (Acts 4:32). 2787-2791, 2801 Because God the Father loves each of his children with the same exclusive love, as though we were the only object of his devotion, we too must get along together in a completely new way: peacefully, full of consideration and love, so that each one can be the awe-inspiring miracle that he actually is in God’s sight. 518 아버지가 ‘하늘에’ 계시다고 할 때 하늘은 어디를 말하는 것인가요? 하늘은 하느님이 계신 곳을 말합니다. 하늘은 장소를 가리키는 말이 아니라, 시간과 공간을 초월하시는 하느님의 현존을 의미하는 말입니다. 2794-2796, 2803 우리는 구름 너머에서 하늘을 찾아서는 안 됩니다. 우리가 영광에 싸인 하느님과 곤경에 빠진 이웃을 향할 때, 우리가 사랑의 기쁨을 체험할 때 그리고 우리가 회개하여 하느님과 화해할 때면 언제나 하늘이 열립니다. 이에 대해 독일의 학자인 게르하르트 에벨링(1912-2001년)은 “하늘이 있는 곳에 하느님이 계신 것이 아니라, 하느님이 계신 곳에 하늘이 있습니다.”라고 말했습니다. 518 If the Father is “in heaven”, where is that heaven? Heaven is wherever God is. The word “heaven” does not designate a place but, rather, indicates God’s presence, which is not bound by space and time. 2794-2796, 2803 We should not look for heaven above the clouds. Wherever we turn to God in his glory and to our neighbor in his need wherever we experience the joys of love whenever we convert and allow ourselves to be reconciled with God, heaven opens there. “Not that God is where heaven is, but rather heaven is where God is” (Gerhard Ebeling). 519 ‘아버지의 이름이 거룩히 빛나시며’는 무엇을 뜻하나요? ‘아버지의 이름이 거룩히 빛나신다’는 말은 하느님의 이름을 모든 것 위에 둔다는 뜻입니다. 2807-2815, 2858 성경에서 ‘이름’은 한 인간의 참된 본성을 가리킵니다. 하느님의 이름을 거룩하게 한다는 것은, 그분의 실재를 정당하게 평가하고 그분을 인정하며 그분에게 존경과 영광을 드리고 그분의 계명에 따라 사는 것을 의미합니다. 519 What does it mean to say, “Hallowed be thy name”? To “hallow” or to treat God’s name as something holy means to place him above everything else. 2807-2815, 2858 A “name” in Sacred Scripture indicates the true nature of a person. To hallow God’s name means to do justice to his reality, to acknowledge him, to praise him, to give him due honor, and to live according to his commandments. |
