The is so strong that it joins him and us like the head and members of a human body and makes us one. 787-795 127 ‘교회는 그리스도의 신부’란 말은 무엇을 뜻하나요? 예수 그리스도는 마치 신랑이 신부를 사랑하듯이 교회를 사랑합니다. 그분은 영원히 교회를 책임지고, 교회를 위해 당신 목숨을 내놓으십니다. 796 사랑에 빠져 본 사람은 어렴풋하게나마 사랑이 무엇인지 압니다. 사랑이 뭔지 아시는 예수님은, 간절한 사랑으로 신부의 마음을 얻으려 애쓰고 그녀와 함께 혼인 잔치를 벌이려는 신랑에 당신을 비유하십니다. 그분의 신부는 바로 우리며 교회입니다. 구약 성경도 당신 백성을 향한 하느님의 사랑을 남녀 간의 사랑에 비유합니다. 예수님이 우리 각자의 마음을 얻으려고 애쓰시는 것을 생각하면, 그분의 사랑에 대해 아무것도 알려고 하지 않고 그 사랑에 응답도 하지 않는 사람들로 인해 그분이 얼마나 자주 슬픈 사랑에 빠지는지 알게 됩니다. 127 What does it mean to say that the Church is the “Bride of Christ”?
