| 128 ‘교회는 성령이 거처하시는 성전’이란 말은 무엇을 뜻하나요?
교회는 현세의 장소며, 성령이 이 세상 안에서 온전히 현존하는 장소입니다. 797-801, 809 이스라엘 백성은 예루살렘 성전에서 하느님께 제사를 지냈는데, 그 성전은 더 이상 존재하지 않습니다. 그러나 그 성전의 역할을 교회가 대신하게 되었기 때문에 이제 교회는 어떤 특정한 장소에 한정되지 않습니다. “두 사람이나 세 사람이라도 내 이름으로 모인 곳에는 나도 함께 있기 때문이다.”(마태 18,20) 교회를 생기 있게 만드는 것은 바로 그리스도의 영이십니다. 그 영은 성경 말씀 속에 살아 있으며, 성사의 거룩한 표징 속에 현존합니다. 그 영은 신자들의 마음 속에서 살며, 그들의 기도 속에서 이야기합니다. 또한 신자들을 인도하고, 그들에게 소박하거나 비범한 재능(특별한 은사)들을 선사합니다. 성령에게 온전히 의지하는 사람은 오늘날에도 진정한 기적을 체험할 수 있습니다. 128 What does it mean to say that the Church is the “Temple of the Holy Spirit”?
