| 130 가톨릭교회가 아닌 다른 그리스도교 신자들도 우리의 형제자매라고 할 수 있나요?
세례받은 모든 이들은 예수 그리스도의 교회에 소속됩니다. 따라서 가톨릭교회의 전체 공동체로부터 떨어져 나간 교회에서 세례받은 신자들도 당연히 ‘그리스도인’이라고 불리며, 그런 이유에서 우리의 형제자매라고 할 수 있습니다. 817-819 그리스도의 가르침이 변질되고 인간적인 과오가 만연하며 양쪽 교회의 대표자들에게 화해의 노력이 부족했기 때문에, 본래 하나였던 그리스도교가 갈라지게 되었습니다. 교회의 분열의 역사를 오늘날 그리스도교 신자들의 탓으로 돌릴 수는 없습니다. 인류 구원을 위해 성령은 가톨릭교회에서 떨어져 나간 교회들과 교회 공동체들에서도 활동하고 계십니다. 그들이 받은 모든 선물들, 예를 들면 성경과 성사들, 믿음과 희망, 사랑, 그 밖의 다른 특별한 은사들도 그리스도에게서 온 것입니다. 그리스도의 영이 살아 있는 곳에서는 ‘재통합’을 지향하는 내적인 역동성이 존재합니다. 서로에게 속한 것들은 다시 하나가 되려는 속성을 갖기 때문입니다. 130 Are non-Catholic Christians our sisters and brothers also? All baptized persons belong to the →CHURCH of Jesus Christ. That is why also those Christians who find themselves separated from the full commof the Catholic Church are rightly called Christians and are therefore our sisters and brothers. 817-819 Instances of separation from the one Church of Christ came about through falsifications of Christ’s teaching, human failings, and a lack of willingness to be reconciled?usually on the part of representatives on both sides. Christians today are in no way guilty for the historical divisions of the Church. The Holy Spirit also works for the salvation of mankind in the →CHURCHES AND ECCLESIAL COMMUNITIES that are separated from the Catholic Church. All of the gifts present there, for example, Sacred Scripture, →SACRAMENTS, faith, hope, love, and other charisms, come originally from Christ. Where the Spirit of Christ lives, there is an inner dynamic leading toward “reunion”, because what belongs together wants to grow together. 131 그리스도교 신자들의 일치를 위해 우리가 해야 할 일은 무엇인가요? 우리는 “모두 하나가 되게”(요한 17,21)해 달라는 의지를 분명하게 밝힌 그리스도의 말씀을 말과 행동으로 따라야 합니다. 820-822 그리스도교 신자들의 일치는 나이가 많고 적음에 상관없이 모두와 관련된 일입니다. 일치는 예수님의 최대 관심사 가운데 하나였습니다. 그분은 아버지에게 “그들이 모두 하나가 되게 해 주십시오. …… 그리하여 아버지께서 저를 보내셨다는 것을 세상이 믿게 하십시오.”(요한 17,21)라고 기도하셨습니다. 분열은 그리스도의 몸에 난 상처와 같아서, 아프고 곪기도 합니다. 또한 분열은 적대 관계로 발전하며, 그리스도교 신자들의 신앙과 신뢰성을 약화시킵니다. 세상에서 분열을 사라지게 하려면 모든 그리스도교 신자들은 회개해야 합니다. 그뿐만 아니라, 자신이 믿고 있는 내용을 알아야 하고, 다른 종파의 신앙 내용도 깊이 검토해야 합니다. 무엇보다도 함께 기도하고 인류를 위해 함께 헌신해야 합니다. 또한 교회의 책임자들은 신학적인 대화를 중단하지 말아야 합니다. 131 What must we do for the unity of Christians? In word and deed we must obey Christ, who expressly wills “that they may all be one” (Jn 17:21). 820-822 Christian unity is the business of all Christians, regardless of how young or old they are. Unity was one of Jesus’ most important concerns. He prayed to the Father, “that they may all be one . . . so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (Jn 17:21). Divisions are like wounds on the Body of Christ they hurt and fester. Divisions lead to enmities and weaken the faith and credibility of Christians. Overcoming the scandal of separation requires the conversion of all concerned but also knowledge of one’s own faith convictions, dialogues with others, and especially prayer in common, and collaboration among Christians in serving mankind. Those in authority in the Church must not let the theological dialogue be interrupted. |
