| 175 교회만이 성사를 거행할 수 있는 이유는 무엇인가요? 개인이 원하는 대로 성사를 받을 수 없는 이유는 무엇인가요?
성사는 그리스도가 당신의 교회에 주신 선물입니다. 따라서 교회는 성사를 베풀어야 하며, 성사가 남용되지 않도록 해야 합니다. 1117-1119, 1131 예수님은 당신의 말씀과 표징들을 익명의 대중에게 넘기신 것이 아니라, 구체적으로 사도들에게 맡기시어 전달하셨습니다. 오늘날에 비유하면, 그분은 당신이 남긴 유산을 아무나 볼 수 있도록 인터넷에 공개하신 것이 아니라 특정한 도메인을 통해 관리하게 하셨다고 말할 수 있습니다. 성사는 교회를 위해, 또한 교회를 통해 현존합니다. 성사가 교회를 위해 현존하는 이유는, 그리스도의 몸인 교회가 성사를 통해 세워졌으며 성사를 통해 양분을 공급받고 성사를 통해 완성되기 때문입니다. 성사가 교회를 통해 현존하는 이유는, 고해성사 때 그리스도가 사제를 통해 우리의 죄를 용서해 주시는 것처럼 성사는 그리스도의 몸인 교회에서 나오는 힘이기 때문입니다. 175 Why do the sacraments belong to the Church?
