| 217 미사를 거행할 때 교회에는 어떤 일이 일어나나요?
성체성사를 거행할 때마다 다시 말해 교회는 그리스도의 몸을 ‘모심’으로써 그 자신이 그리스도의 몸이 되기 때문에, ‘그리스도의 몸’은 교회를 가리키는 또 다른 이름이 되기도 합니다. 영혼과 육신을 지닌 우리에게 자신을 내주신 그리스도의 희생 안에 우리 삶 전체를 위한 자리가 존재합니다. 우리는 우리의 일과 고통, 기쁨 등 모든 것을 그리스도의 희생과 결합할 수 있습니다. 이러한 방식으로 우리 자신을 봉헌할 때 우리는 변화됩니다. 곧 우리는 이렇게 하느님 마음에 들게 되며, 우리 이웃들을 위해 유익하고 영양이 풍부한 빵이 됩니다. 1368-1372, 1414 우리는 마치 교회가 선한 사람들로만 이루어진 집단인 양 더 냉정한 잣대로 교회를 자주 비난하곤 합니다. 그러나 사실 교회는 매일같이 신비로운 방식으로 제단에서 생성됩니다. 하느님은 우리 각자에게 자신을 내주시며, 영성체를 통해 우리를 변화시키시고자 하십니다. 변화된 자로서 우리는 이 세상을 변화시켜야 합니다. 그 밖의 다른 모든 교회의 속성들은 부수적인 것들입니다. 217 What happens in the Church when she celebrates the Eucharist?
