| 226 세례성사를 통해 하느님과 화해했는데도 불구하고, 우리에게 또 다른 화해의 성사가 필요한 이유는 무엇인가요? 1425-1426
세례성사를 통해 우리는 죄와 죽음의 권세에서 벗어나 하느님의 자녀로서 새 생명을 누리게 되었지만, 인간적 약점과 죄에 빠지기 쉬운 성향에서 자유로워진 것은 아닙니다. 따라서 우리에게는 하느님과 늘 새롭게 화해할 자리가 필요하며, 그것이 바로 고해성사입니다. 죄를 고백하는 일은 시류를 따르지 않는 일이며, 어려운 일이고, 처음에는 노력이 많이 필요할지도 모릅니다. 그러나 그 일은 우리 삶을 늘 새롭게 시작할 수 있게 하는 가장 큰 은총들 가운데 하나입니다. 다시 말해 죄의 고백을 통해 우리는 새로워져서 과거의 짐에서 완전히 벗어나 사랑 안에 받아들여지고 새로운 힘을 갖추게 됩니다. 하느님은 자비로우시며, 그분은 우리가 당신의 자비로우심을 받아들이기를 열망하십니다. 죄를 고백함으로써 우리는 우리 인생을 기록한 책자의 비어 있는 새 페이지를 펼치게 됩니다. 226 But we have Baptism, which reconciles us with God why then do we need a special sacrament of Reconciliation? Baptism does snatch us from the power of sin and death and brings us into the new life of the children of God, but it does not free us from human weakness and the inclination to sin. That is why we need a place where we can be reconciled with God again and again. That place is confession. 1425-1426 It does not seem like a modern thing to go to confession it can be difficult and may cost a great deal of effort at first. But it is one of the greatest graces that we can receive again and again in our life?it truly renews the soul, completely unburdens it, leaving it without the debts of the past, accepted in love, and equipped with new strength. God is merciful, and he desires nothing more earnestly than for us, too, to lay claim to his mercy. Someone who has gone to confession turns a clean, new page in the book of his life. 227 고해성사를 제정하신 분은 누구인가요? 예수님은 부활하신 날에 당신 사도들에게 나타나셔서 “성령을 받아라. 너희가 누구의 죄든지 용서해 주면 그가 용서를 받을 것이고, 그대로 두면 그대로 남아 있을 것이다.”(요한 20,22-23)라고 말씀하심으로써 몸소 고해성사를 제정하셨습니다. 1425-1426 ‘자애로운 아버지’에 관한 비유 말씀(루카 15,11-32 참조)이야말로 예수님이 고해성사 때 일어나는 일을 가장 아름답게 이야기하신 부분입니다. 우리가 혼란에 빠져 길을 잃고 더는 아무것도 하지 못할 때에도 우리 아버지이신 하느님은 한없이 그리워하는 마음으로 우리를 기다리십니다. 우리가 되돌아오기만 하면 그분은 우리에게 용서를 베푸십니다. 그분은 한결같이 우리를 받아들이고 우리 죄를 용서해 주십니다. 예수님도 몸소 많은 이들의 죄를 용서해 주셨습니다. 죄를 용서하는 일은 그분에게 있어 기적을 행하는 것보다 더 중요한 일이었습니다. 예수님은 하느님 나라가 죄를 용서하는 일에서 시작된다는 뚜렷한 표징을 보이셨습니다. 그 나라에서는 모든 상처들이 아물고 모든 눈물이 씻길 것입니다. 예수님은 성령의 능력으로 죄를 용서하셨고, 그 능력을 당신 사도들에게 전해 주셨습니다. 우리가 사제에게 가서 죄를 고백할 때 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지의 품에 안기게 됩니다. 226 But we have Baptism, which reconciles us with God why then do we need a special sacrament of Reconciliation? Someone who has gone to confession turns a clean, new page in the book of his life. 228 죄를 용서하실 수 있는 분은 누구인가요? 오로지 하느님만이 죄를 용서하실 수 있습니다. 예수님은 하느님의 아드님이라는 이유만으로 “너는 죄를 용서받았다.”(마르 2,5)라고 말씀하실 수 있었습니다. 또한 예수님은 사제들에게 죄를 용서할 전권을 주셨기 때문에 이를 근거로 사제들은 예수님을 대리하여 죄를 용서할 수 있습니다. 1441-1442 많은 사람이 “내 죄는 하느님과 직접 해결할 거야. 그러니까 내게 사제는 필요 없어.”라고 말하기도 합니다. 그러나 하느님은 다른 방식을 원하십니다. 하느님은 우리가 속임수를 써서 죄를 모면하거나, 우리 죄를 얼버무려 넘기려 한다는 것을 잘 알고 계십니다. 따라서 하느님은 우리가 얼굴을 맞대고 자신이 지은 죄를 고백하길 바라십니다. 그러므로 사제들에게 하신 다음의 말씀은 유효합니다. “너희가 누구의 죄든지 용서해 주면 그가 용서를 받을 것이고, 그대로 두면 그대로 남아 있을 것이다.”(요한 20,23). 228 Who can forgive sins? God alone can forgive sins. Jesus could say “Your sins are forgiven” (Mk 2:5) only because he is the Son of God. And →PRIESTS can forgive sins in Jesus’ place only because Jesus has given them that authority. 1441-1442 Many people say, “I can go directly to God why do I need a priest?” God, though, wants it otherwise. We rationalize our sins away and like to sweep things under the rug. That is why God wants us to tell our sins and to acknowledge them in a personal encounter. Therefore, the following words from the Gospel are true of priests: “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven if you retain the sins of any, they are retained” (Jn 20:23). |
