| 281 인간이 행복을 갈망하는 이유는 무엇인가요?
하느님이 우리 마음속에 행복을 향한 무한한 갈망을 심어 주셨기 때문에 그 갈망을 채울 수 있는 분은 오로지 그분밖에 없습니다. 현세의 모든 충족감은 영원한 행복을 미리 조금 맛보는 것에 불과합니다. 우리의 마음은 현세의 충족감을 넘어 하느님에게로 향해야 합니다. 1718-1719, 1725 281 Why do we yearn for happiness? God has placed in our hearts such an infinite desire for happiness that nothing can satisfy it but God himself. All earthly fulfillment gives us only a foretaste of eternal happiness. Above and beyond that, we should be drawn to God. 1718-1719, 1725 282 성경을 읽으면 행복으로 가는 길을 알 수 있나요? 우리는 예수님이 산상 설교에서 하신 ‘행복 선언’의 내용을 신뢰함으로써 행복해집니다. 1716-1717 복음은 하느님의 길을 가려는 모든 사람에게 행복을 약속합니다. 특히 예수님은 ‘행복 선언’(마태 5,3-12 참조)을 통해 우리가 당신 삶의 방식을 따르고 순수한 마음으로 평화를 찾을 때 무한한 축복을 받을 것이라고 구체적으로 말씀하셨습니다. 282 Does Sacred Scripture speak about a way to happiness? We become happy by trusting in Jesus’ words in the Beatitudes. 1716-1717 The Gospel is a promise of happiness to all people who wish to walk in God’s ways. Especially in the Beatitudes (Mt 5:3-12), Jesus has told us specifically that eternal blessedness (→BLESSING) is based on our following his example and seeking peace with a pure heart. 283 ‘행복 선언’은 어떤 내용인가요? “행복하여라, 마음이 가난한 사람들! 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다. 행복하여라, 슬퍼하는 사람들! 그들은 위로를 받을 것이다. 행복하여라, 온유한 사람들! 그들은 땅을 차지할 것이다. 행복하여라, 의로움에 주리고 목마른 사람들! 그들은 흡족해질 것이다. 행복하여라, 자비로운 사람들! 그들은 자비를 입을 것이다. 행복하여라, 마음이 깨끗한 사람들! 그들은 하느님을 볼 것이다. 행복하여라, 평화를 이루는 사람들! 그들은 하느님의 자녀라 불릴 것이다. 행복하여라, 의로움 때문에 박해를 받는 사람들! 하늘 나라가 그들의 것이다. 사람들이 나 때문에 너희를 모욕하고 박해하며, 너희를 거슬러 거짓으로 온갖 사악한 말을 하면, 너희는 행복하다! 기뻐하고 즐거워하여라. 너희가 하늘에서 받을 상이 크다. 사실 너희에 앞서 예언자들도 그렇게 박해를 받았다.”(마태 5,3-12). 283 What are the Beatitudes? Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mt 5:3-12). |
