| 284 ‘행복 선언’이 중요한 이유는 무엇인가요?
하느님 나라를 갈망하는 사람은 예수님이 행복에서 중요하다고 말씀하신 것, 곧 행복 선언에 희망을 둡니다. 1716-1717, 1725-1726 아브라함 때부터 하느님은 당신 백성에게 약속하셨습니다. 예수님은 그 약속이 하늘나라에서도 유효하다고 말씀하실 뿐만 아니라 그것을 당신의 인생 계획으로 삼으십니다. 다시 말해 하느님의 아드님이 우리의 가난을 함께 나누기 위해 가난해지시고, 기뻐하는 사람들과는 함께 기뻐하고 슬퍼하는 사람들과는 함께 슬퍼하십니다(로마 12,15 참조). 그분은 폭력을 사용하지 않으시며 다른 뺨마저 돌려 대십니다(마태 5,39 참조). 그분은 자비로우시고 평화를 이루시며, 이를 통해 하늘나라로 가는 확실한 길을 알려주십니다. 284 Why are the Beatitudes so important? Those who yearn for the kingdom of God look to Jesus’ list of priorities: the Beatitudes. 1716-1717, 1725-1726 From Abraham on, God made promises to his people. Jesus takes them up, extends their application to heaven, and makes them the program for his own life: the Son of God becomes poor so as to share our poverty he rejoices with those who rejoice and weeps with those who weep (Rom 12:15) he employs no violence but rather turns the other cheek (Mt 5:39) he has mercy, makes peace, and thereby shows us the sure way to heaven. 285 영원한 행복이란 무엇인가요? 영원한 행복이란 하느님을 바라보며 하느님의 기쁨 안으로 받아들여지는 것입니다. 1720-1724, 1729 영원한 행복이란 성부와 성자와 성령이신 하느님 안에서 영원히 살고 기뻐하며 그분과 하나가 되는 것입니다. 그분 안으로 받아들여지는 것은 인간으로서는 상상할 수도 없는 무한한 행복입니다. 그 행복은 순전히 하느님의 은총으로 받는 선물입니다. 우리는 그런 행복을 스스로 만들 수도 없고, 그 고귀함을 이해하지도 못하기 때문입니다. 하느님은 우리가 행복을 선택하기를 바라십니다. 우리는 자유 의지로 하느님을 선택하고, 그분을 그 무엇보다 더 사랑하며, 힘닿는 데까지 선을 행하고 악을 피해야 합니다. 285 What is eternal happiness? Eternal happiness is seeing God and being taken up into God’s happiness. 1720-1724, 1729 In God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit there is unending life, joy, and communion. To be taken up into it will be an incomprehensible, infinite happiness for us men. This happiness is the pure gift of God’s grace, for we men can neither bring it about ourselves nor comprehend it in its magnitude. God would like us to decide in favor of our happiness we should choose God freely, love him above all things, do good and avoid evil insofar as we are able. 286 자유란 무엇이며, 무엇을 위해 존재하나요? 자유란 하느님이 주신 선물로, 온전히 스스로 행동할 수 있는 능력을 말합니다. 자유로운 사람은 더는 다른 이의 결정에 따라 행동하지 않습니다. 1730-1733, 1743-1744 하느님은 우리를 자유인으로 만드셨고 우리의 자유를 원하시며, 그로써 우리가 진심으로 선행을 선택하고 마침내 최고의 ‘선’이신 하느님을 선택할 수 있게 하셨습니다. 선을 행하면 행할수록 우리는 점점 더 자유로워집니다. 286 What is freedom and what is it for? Freedom is the God-given power to be able to act of one’s own accord a person who is free no longer acts under the influence of someone else. 1730-1733, 1743-1744 God created us as free men and wills our freedom so that we might decide wholeheartedly in favor of the good, indeed for the greatest “good”?in other words, for God. The more we do what is good, the freer we become. |
