| 342 우리는 모두 ‘성인saints’이 되어야 하나요?
그렇습니다. 우리 인생의 의미는 사랑으로 하느님과 하나가 되며, 하느님의 소망을 전적으로 따르는 것입니다. 마더 데레사 성녀의 말처럼 하느님이 “당신의 삶을 우리 안에서 사실 수 있게” 허락해 드려야 합니다. 그것이 바로 거룩해지는, 곧 넓은 의미의 ‘성인’이 되는 길입니다. 2012-2016, 2028-2029 인간은 누구나 ‘나는 누구이며, 내가 사는 이유는 무엇이고, 어떻게 나 자신을 찾을 수 있는가?’하고 자문합니다. 이에 대해 신앙은 인간이 거룩해짐으로써 비로소 하느님이 그를 창조하신 목적을 이루게 된다고 답합니다. 거룩해짐으로써 비로소 인간은 자기 자신과 자신을 창조한 창조주와 실제로 조화를 이루게 됩니다. 그러나 이 거룩함은 스스로 만든 완벽함이 아니라, 사랑 그 자체이며 인간이 되신 그리스도와 하나가 되는 것을 말합니다. 이처럼 새로운 삶을 얻은 사람은 자신을 거룩하게 여기며, 또한 거룩해집니다. 342 Are we all supposed to become “saints”? Yes. The purpose of our life is to be united with God in love and to correspond entirely to God’s wishes. We should allow God “to live his life in us” (Mother Teresa). That is what it means to be holy: a “saint”. 2012-2016, 2028-2029 Every man asks himself the question: Who am I and why am I here, how do I find myself? Faith answers: Only in →HOLINESS does man become that for which God created him. Only in holiness does man find real harmony between himself and his Creator. Holiness, however, is not some sort of self-made perfection rather, it is with the incarnate love that is Christ. Anyone who gains new life in this way finds himself and becomes holy. 제3장 교회 343 교회는 우리가 선하고 책임감 있는 삶을 살도록 어떻게 돕나요? 우리는 교회에서 세례를 받고, 2천 년 가까이 교회가 온전하게 보전해 온 신앙을 교회 안에서 받아들입니다. 또한 우리는 교회에서 하느님의 살아 있는 말씀을 듣고, 하느님 마음에 들려면 어떻게 살아야 하는지를 배웁니다. 예수님이 당신 제자들에게 맡기신 성사들을 통해 교회는 우리의 용기를 북돋우고 우리를 굳건하게 만들며 위로합니다. 교회 안에는 성인들의 불꽃이 타오르고 있으며, 그 불꽃으로 우리의 마음도 타오릅니다. 교회 안에서는 거룩한 성체성사가 거행되며, 그것을 통해 그리스도의 희생과 능력이 우리를 위해 새로워져서 그분과 하나가 된 우리는 그분의 몸이 되고 그분의 힘으로 살게 됩니다. 교회가 지닌 모든 인간적인 약점에도 교회를 벗어나서는 어느 누구도 그리스도인이 될 수 없습니다. 2030-2031, 2047 CHAPTER THREE The Church 343 How does the Church help us to lead a good, responsible life? In the Church we are baptized. In the Church we receive the faith that the Church has preserved intact down through the centuries. In the Church we hear the living Word of God and learn how we must live if we want to please God. Through the →SACRAMENTS that Jesus entrusted to his disciples, the Church builds us up, strengthens, and consoles us. In the Church there is the blazing fire of the saints, by which our hearts are kindled. In the Church the Holy →EUCHARIST is celebrated, in which Christ’s sacrifice and strength are renewed for us in such a way that, united with him, we become his Body and live by his strength. Despite all her human weaknesses, apart from the Church no one can be a Christian. 2030-2031, 2047 344 교회가 윤리적 문제나 개인의 생활 태도에 관한 문제에 의견을 표명하는 이유는 무엇인가요? 신앙은 하나의 길입니다. 우리가 이 길에 어떻게 머물지, 다시 말해 우리가 어떻게 행동하고 착하게 살지를 복음의 가르침을 통해서만 배우는 것이 아닙니다. 교회의 교도원은 사람들에게 천부적인 도덕률도 일깨워 주어야 합니다. 2032-2040, 2049-2051 두 개의 진리란 존재하지 않습니다. 인간적으로 옳은 일이라면 그리스도교적 관점에서 보아도 그릇된 일일 수 없습니다. 반대로 그리스도교적 관점에서 옳은 일은 인간적으로 보아도 그릇된 일일 수 없습니다. 그런 까닭에 교회는 윤리 문제에 관해서도 폭넓게 의견을 제시해야 합니다. 344 Why does the Church also make declarations about ethical questions and about matters of personal conduct? Believing is a path. One learns how to stay on this path, in other words, how to act rightly and to lead a good life, only by following the instructions in the Gospel. The teaching authority (→MAGISTERIUM) of the Church must remind people also about the demands of the natural moral law. 2032-2040, 2049-2051 There are not two truths. What is humanly right cannot be wrong from the Christian perspective. And what is right according to Christianity cannot be humanly wrong. That is why the Church must teach comprehensively about moral issues. 345 교회가 정한 다섯 가지 법규는 무엇인가요? 1) 주일과 의무 대축일에는 미사에 참례하고, 육체노동을 삼가야 한다. 2) 최소한 일 년에 한 번은 자기의 죄를 고백해야 한다. 3) 적어도 한 번 부활 시기에 성체를 받아 모셔야 한다. 4) 교회가 정한 날에 금식재와 금육재를 지켜야 한다. 5) 교회의 필요를 지원해야 한다. 2042-2043 345 What are the “Five Precepts of the Church”? (1) You shall attend Mass on Sunday and holy days of obligation and abstain from work or activities that offend against the character of the day. (2) You shall receive the sacrament of Penance at least once a year. (3) You shall receive the →EUCHARIST at least during the Easter season. (4) You shall observe the prescribed seasons of fasting and days of abstinence (Ash Wednesday and Good Friday). (5) You shall contribute to the material support of the Church. 2042-2043 |
