| 346 교회가 정한 법규는 무엇을 위한 것이고, 어떤 구속력을 지니나요?
‘교회의 다섯 가지 법규’는 신자들이 지켜야 할 최소한의 사항입니다. 도덕적인 노력을 하지 않고 교회의 성사나 교회와 관련된 삶에 구체적으로 참여하지 않는 등 교회와 연대하지 않는다면 그리스도인이라 말할 수 없음을 일깨우기 위한 것입니다. 가톨릭 신자라면 누구나 이 법규들을 지킬 의무가 있습니다. 2041, 2048 346 What is the purpose of the precepts of the Church, and how binding are they? The “Five Precepts of the Church” with their minimum requirements are supposed to remind us that one cannot be a Christian without making a moral effort, without participating personally in the sacramental life of the Church, and without with her in solidarity. They are obligatory for every Catholic Christian. 2041, 2048 347 신앙생활에서 자신의 신앙을 고백한 대로 실천하지 않는 것이 그리스도인에게 심각한 결함이 되는 이유는 무엇인가요? 복음 선포를 위한 첫째 조건은 자신이 믿고 고백한 신앙을 실천하는 언행의 일치입니다. 따라서 위선은 ‘세상의 빛’과 ‘세상의 소금’이 되어야 하는 그리스도인의 사명을 저버리는 것이 됩니다. 2044-2046 바오로 사도는 코린토 교회 공동체를 다음과 같이 일깨웁니다. “여러분은 분명히 우리의 봉사직으로 마련된 그리스도의 추천서입니다. 그것은 먹물이 아니라 살아 계신 하느님의 영으로 새겨지고, 돌 판이 아니라 살로 된 마음이라는 판에 새겨졌습니다.”(2코린 3,3) 그리스도인들이 전하는 내용이 아니라, 그리스도인들 자신이 바로 그리스도가 세상에 보낸 ‘추천서’라는 뜻입니다. 그런 까닭에 아동에게 추행하는 사제나 수도자가 있다면 그것은 다른 것보다도 더 끔찍한 일이 될 것입니다. 그들은 희생자들에게 아주 큰 범죄를 저지를 뿐만 아니라, 많은 이들에게서 하느님에 대한 희망을 빼앗고, 다른 이들의 마음에서 신앙의 불빛도 꺼뜨립니다. 347 Why is “not practicing what you preach” such a serious deficiency in a Christian? SECTION TWO The Ten Commandments 348 “Teacher, what . . . must I do to have eternal life?” (Mt 19:16) Jesus says, “If you would enter life, keep the commandments” (Mt 19:17). Then he adds, “and come, follow me” (Mt 19:21). 2052-2054, 2075-2076 Christianity is more than a correct life and keeping the commandments. Being a Christian is a living relationship to Jesus. I am the Lord your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me. 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 3. Remember to keep holy the Lord’s day (→ SABBATH). 4.
