| 386 다섯째 계명이 인간의 육체적·영적 완전함을 보호하는 것이 되는 이유는 무엇인가요?
인간의 생존권과 존엄성은 하나며, 서로 분리될 수 없게 결합되어 있습니다. 사람은 영적 죽음으로 내몰릴 수도 있습니다. 2284-2287, 2326 “살인해서는 안 된다.”(탈출 20,13)라는 계명은 육체적 온전함뿐만 아니라 영적 온전함과도 관계가 있습니다. 악으로 이끄는 유혹과 폭력 행위는 모두 중대한 죄며, 그것이 의존 관계에서 일어나는 경우 더욱 그러합니다. 특히 성인과 아동 사이의 의존 관계에서 발생했다면 그 죄는 더 나쁩니다. 부모나 사제, 교사 등에 의한 아동 성폭력뿐만 아니라 정신적 유혹, 가치 있는 일에서 멀어지게 하는 행위 등이 이에 해당됩니다. 386 Why does the Fifth Commandment protect the physical and spiritual integrity of a human being as well? The right to life and human dignity form a unity they are inseparably connected to each other. It is possible to put a person to death spiritually also. 2284-2287, 2326 The commandment “You shall not kill” (Ex 20:13) applies to both physical and spiritual integrity. Every seduction and incitement to evil, every use of force is a serious sin, especially when it occurs in a relationship of dependency. The sin is especially evil when the dependence of children on adults is involved. This means not only sexual abuse, but also spiritual seduction by parents, →PRIESTS, teachers, or educators who lead their charges astray from values, and so on. 387 우리는 우리 몸을 어떻게 대해야 하나요? 다섯째 계명은 자기 몸에 대한 폭행도 금합니다. 예수님은 우리가 자신을 받아들이고 사랑하도록 요청하셨습니다. “네 이웃을 너 자신처럼 사랑해야 한다.”(마태 22,39) 자기 몸을 할퀴는 것과 같은 자해 행위는 대부분 버림받았거나 애정 결핍을 느꼈을 때 발생하는 심리 상태에 그 원인이 있습니다. 따라서 그런 행위들은 무엇보다 우리가 우리 자신을 전적으로 사랑해 주기를 요청하는 것입니다. 그러한 사람에게 온정을 베풀어 주면서, 인간은 하느님에게 선물 받은 자기 몸을 해칠 권리가 없다는 점을 분명히 지적해야 합니다. 387 How should we treat our body? The Fifth Commandment forbids also the use of violence against one’s own body. Jesus expressly demands that we accept and love ourselves: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Mt 22:39). Self-destructive acts against one’s own body (“body piercings”, cutting and so on) are in most cases psychological reactions to experiences of abandonment and a lack of love hence they call first and foremost for our sincere and loving response. Within the context of organ donation, it must be made clear, however, that there is no human right to destroy one’s own God-given body. 388 건강은 얼마나 중요한가요? 건강은 중요하지만 절대적이지는 않습니다. 우리는 하느님에게 선물 받은 몸을 감사하는 마음으로 소중히 대해야 하지만, 지나치게 몸을 떠받들어서도 안됩니다. 2288-2291 건강을 적절하게 돌보는 일은, 충분한 양식과 깨끗한 주거 환경, 기본 의료 시설 등의 생활 조건을 마련해야 하는 국가의 기본적인 의무 가운데 하나입니다. 388 How important is health? Health is an important value, but not an absolute one. We should treat our God-given body gratefully and carefully, but not be obsessed with it. 2288-2291 Appropriate care for the health of its citizens is one of the fundamental obligations of the State, which must living conditions in which sufficient food, sanitary housing, and basic medical care are available to all. 389 마약 복용이 죄가 되는 이유는 무엇인가요? 마약 복용은 자기 파괴 행위로서, 하느님이 우리에게 사랑으로 선물하신 생명을 거스르는 일이기 때문에 죄가 됩니다. 2290-2291 술, 약품, 담배와 같은 합법적인 물질에 대한 인간의 의존성과 그보다 더 심한 불법적인 마약에 대한 인간의 의존성은, 자유를 종살이와 맞바꾼 꼴이 됩니다. 이러한 의존성은 당사자의 건강과 생명을 해칠 뿐만 아니라, 동료들에게도 심각한 피해를 줍니다. 폭식과 폭음, 성에 대한 탐닉, 자동차 폭주 등으로 도취 상태에 빠진 인간은 자아를 상실하고 자신을 망각하게 됩니다. 동시에 자신의 존엄성과 자유를 상실하게 되면서 하느님을 거스르는 죄까지 짓게 됩니다. 이는 기호품을 이성적으로 뚜렷하게 의식하면서 적당히 즐기는 것과는 구분되는 행위입니다. 389 Why is it a sin to take drugs? Using drugs is a sin because it is an act of self-destruction and thus an offense against the life that God has given us out of love. 2290-2291 Every form of a person’s dependence on legal substances (alcohol, medication, tobacco) and even more so on illegal drugs is an exchange of freedom for slavery it damages the health and life of the person concerned and also does great harm to the people around him. Every time a person loses or forgets himself by becoming intoxicated, which can also include excessive eating and drinking, indulgence in sexual activity, or speeding with an automobile, he loses some of his human dignity and freedom and therefore sins against God. This should be distinguished from the reasonable, conscious, and moderate use of enjoyable things. |
