| 467 예수님이 우리에게 ‘마음의 가난’을 요구하시는 이유는 무엇인가요?
“그분께서는 부유하시면서도 여러분을 위하여 가난하게 되시어, 여러분이 그 가난으로 부유하게 되도록 하셨습니다.”(2코린 8,9) 2544-2547, 2555-2557 젊은이들도 내적 공허를 겪고 있습니다. 그러나 ‘마음의 가난’은 나쁘기만 한 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 그저 우리의 빈 마음을 채워 주고 우리의 가난을 풍요로움으로 바꿔 줄 수 있는 분을 온 마음을 다해 찾기만 하면 됩니다. 그런 까닭에 예수님은 “행복하여라, 마음이 가난한 사람들! 하늘나라가 그들의 것이다.”(마태 5,3)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 467 Why does Jesus demand that we practice “poverty in spirit”? “Though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich” (2 Cor 8:9). 2544-2547, 2555-2557 Young people, too, experience inner emptiness. But experiencing this sort of poverty is not just something bad. I simply have to seek with my whole heart the one who can fill my emptiness and make wealth out of my poverty. To see him, our Creator, Lord, and Redeemer, is unending blessedness. 2548-2550, 2557 4 어떻게 기도해야 하는가? 제1부 그리스도인의 삶에서 기도가 지니는 의미 469 기도란 무엇인가요? 기도는 마음을 하느님에게 향하는 것을 말합니다. 기도하는 사람은 하느님과 살아 있는 관계를 맺게 됩니다. 2558-2565 기도는 신앙생활로 들어가는 커다란 관문입니다. 기도하는 사람은 더는 자신의 뜻대로, 자신을 위해, 자신의 힘으로 살지 않습니다. 말을 걸 수 있는 하느님이 계심을 알고 있기 때문입니다. 기도하는 사람은 점점 더 자신을 하느님에게 맡기게 됩니다. 그는 언젠가 얼굴을 마주하게 될 분과의 관계를 미리 추구합니다. 따라서 매일같이 기도하는 일은 그리스도인의 삶의 일부라고 할 수 있습니다. 물론 기술을 배우듯이 기도하는 법을 배울 수는 없습니다. 이상하게 들릴지도 모르지만, 기도하는 법은 기도함으로써 습득하게 되는 선물이기 때문입니다. SECTION ONE Prayer in Christian life 469 What is prayer? Prayer is turning the heart toward God. When a person prays, he enters into a living relationship with God. 2558-2565 Prayer is the great gate leading into faith. Someone who prays no longer lives on his own, for himself, and by his own strength. He knows there is a God to whom he can talk. People who pray entrust themselves more and more to God. Even now they seek with the one whom they will encounter one day face to face. Therefore, the effort to pray daily is part of Christian life. Of course, one cannot learn to pray in the same way one learns a technique. As strange as it sounds, prayer is a gift one obtains through prayer. 제1장 기도: 하느님이 우리에게 당신의 친밀함을 선사하시는 통로 470 인간이 기도하는 이유는 무엇인가요? 우리가 기도하는 이유는, 우리가 끝없는 열망으로 가득 차 있으며 하느님이 당신을 지향하도록 인간을 만드셨기 때문입니다. 아우구스티노 성인은 “주님, 주님을 위하여 저희를 내셨기에, 주님 안에 쉬기까지는 저희 마음이 찹찹하지 않삽나이다.”라고 말했습니다. 또한 우리는 필요하고 바라는 것이 있기 때문입니다. 마더 데레사 성녀는 “나 자신에게 의지할 수 없기 때문에, 나는 하루 24시간 내내 그분께 의존합니다.”라고 말했습니다. 2566-2567, 2591 우리는 종종 하느님을 잊고 그분에게서 도망치며 우리 자신을 숨깁니다. 우리가 그분을 생각하기를 꺼리고 그분을 부인하더라도, 하느님은 언제나 우리를 도우려 하십니다. 하느님은 당신을 찾기도 전에 우리를 찾으시며, 우리를 그리워하고 우리를 부르십니다. 우리는 자신의 양심과 대화할 때 문득 하느님과 대화하고 있음을 깨닫게 됩니다. 이야기할 사람이 없어 외로움을 느낄 때 우리는 언제나 하느님에게 말을 걸 수 있다는 것을 떠올립니다. 위험에 빠졌을 때 우리는 하느님이 우리의 청원을 들어주시는 체험을 합니다. 기도하는 것은 숨 쉬고 밥 먹고 사랑하는 것과 같이 인간의 욕구에 상응하는 일입니다. 기도는 우리를 정화시키고 우리가 유혹에 맞설 수 있게 합니다. 또한 우리가 허약함을 느낄 때 기운을 북돋아 주고, 두려움을 없애 주며, 힘을 배가하고, 끈기 있게 합니다. 기도는 우리를 행복하게 합니다. CHAPTER ONE How to Pray: The Gift of God’s Presence 470 What prompts a person to pray? We pray because we are full of an infinite longing and God has created us men for himself: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in you” (St. Augustine). But we pray also because we need to Mother Teresa says, “Because I cannot rely on myself, I rely on him, twenty-four hours a day.” 2566-2567, 2591 Often we forget God, run away from him and hide. Whether we avoid thinking about God or deny him?he is always there for us. He seeks us before we seek him he yearns for us, he calls us. You speak with your conscience and suddenly notice that you are speaking with God. You feel lonely, have no one to talk with, and then sense that God is always available to talk. You are in danger and experience that a cry for help is answered by God. Praying is as human as breathing, eating, and loving. Praying purifies. Praying makes it possible to resist temptations. Praying strengthens us in our weakness. Praying removes fear, increases energy, and gives a second wind. Praying makes one happy. |
