| 520 ‘아버지의 나라가 오시며’는 무엇을 뜻하나요?
‘아버지의 나라가 오시기를’ 기도한다는 것은 그리스도가 약속하신 대로 다시 오실 것과 이미 현세에서 시작된 하느님의 통치가 영원히 이루어지기를 청한다는 뜻입니다. 2816-2821, 2859 프랑수아 페넬롱은 “하느님이 원하시는 모든 것을 기회가 있을 때마다 아무런 조건 없이 한결같이 원하는 것이 ‘하느님 나라’며, 그것은 전적으로 마음속에 있습니다.”라고 말했습니다. 520 What does it mean to say, “Thy kingdom come”? When we pray, “Thy kingdom come”, we call for Christ to come again, as he promised, and for God’s reign, which has already begun here on earth, to prevail definitively. 2816-2821, 2859 Fran?ois F?nelon says, “To will everything that God wills, and to will it always, in all circumstances and without reservations: that is the kingdom of God which is entirely within.” 521 ‘아버지의 뜻이 하늘에서와 같이 땅에서도 이루어지소서’는 무엇을 뜻하나요? 하느님의 뜻이 온 세상에서 이루어지기를 기도한다는 것은, 그분의 뜻이 이미 하늘에서 이루어지고 있듯이 이 세상과 우리 마음속에서도 이루어지기를 청한다는 뜻입니다. 2822-2827, 2860 우리 자신의 계획과 의지와 생각에만 매달리는 한, 이 세상은 하늘이 될 수 없습니다. 누구나 저마다 다른 계획과 의지와 생각을 갖고 있기 때문입니다. 그러나 하느님이 원하시는 것을 우리가 함께 원할 때 우리는 행복을 발견하게 됩니다. 기도한다는 것은 이 세상을 점차 하느님의 뜻에 내어 드리는 것을 의미합니다. 521 What does it mean to say, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”? When we pray for the universal accomplishment of God’s will, we pray that on earth and in our own heart it may become as it already is in heaven. 2822-2827, 2860 As long as we continue to set our hearts on our own plans, our will, and our ideas, earth cannot become heaven. The petition about our daily bread makes us people who await everything from the goodness of our heavenly Father, including the material and spiritual goods that are vitally necessary. No Christian can pronounce this petition without thinking about his real responsibility for those in the world who lack the basic necessities of life. 2828-2834, 2861 523 인간이 빵만으로는 살 수 없는 이유는 무엇인가요? “사람은 빵만으로 살지 않고, 하느님의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로 산다.”(마태 4,4) 2835 이 성경 말씀은, 인간이 물질적 수단으로 채울 수 없는 영적인 갈망을 갖고 있음을 우리에게 일깨워줍니다. 우리는 빵이 부족해서 죽을 수도 있지만, 빵만 얻게 되는 경우에도 죽을 수 있습니다. 우리의 내면은 “영원한 생명의 말씀”(요한 6,68)을 지니신 분과, “썩어 없어지지 않을 양식”(요한 6,27 참조), 곧 성체성사로써 양육됩니다. 523 Why does man not live on bread alone? “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Mt 4:4, citing Deut 8:3). 2835 This passage of Scripture reminds us that men have a spiritual hunger that cannot be satisfied by material means. One can die for lack of bread, but one can also die because one has received bread alone.
